Summertime, and the living is breezy!
We’re not quite in Frozen territory, but if Elsa (or anyone else) could just bring back summer… Here in the UK, we had a week of summer, which coincided with our Summer Solstice.
It was glorious, and in that short space of time, I managed to fulfil all the Amy Criteria for a proper summer – summer clothes, no duvet at night, insect bite, mild sunburn, and summer laundry.
Now, alongside the rest of the country (though perhaps less so up here in the Northeast of England), my winter wardrobe and daytime blankie have both made a reappearance, as have the wellies, and I’ve been officially blamed for the end of summer!
Joking aside, here’s what I’ve been up to behind the scenes the past couple of months, and a sneak peek at what’s to come.
Coming up in this summer news blog:

Time out.
It's been another quiet time for me on the social media front. Following something viral, which took me out completely for about 3 days mid-May, I was left with very low energy levels (again). I’m now, thankfully, on the other side of it, and my mind, body, and soul are back in their happy place just in time for summer.
I’m grateful to everyone who reached out to me during this time, and to those who waited patiently for me to get back to them, it’s a challenging place to be - especially as a single parent. Although not much fun in the moment, I have emerged feeling stronger, more creative, and surer of my direction.
For the time being, I feel guided to focus my energy on expanding my website, adding more blogs and personal updates (like this one), so my social media anti-socialness will continue, for now. The quality of the content I share is important to me, so I have chosen not to expend the little spare energy I do have posting any old thing for the sake of satisfying an algorithm.

Om Gam Ganapataye Namaha.
During the past 4 weeks or so, I’ve had the honour of being part of an online, 44-day Ganesha Mantra chanting group, facilitated by Shakti Tracy, and Zane Taylor. Lord Ganesha is the Hindu deity of wisdom and prosperity, and the remover of obstacles.
I’ll be honest, I haven’t chanted every day. It felt especially challenging at the start, but my internal resistance to it has eased. I’m feeling incredibly grateful to be held and supported by Tracy and Zane in this space, alongside over 200 other souls. The changes we’re experiencing are truly amazing.
I’ll definitely be incorporating more Sanskrit mantra chanting into my mindfulness practices going forward – Jai Ganesha!
Summer bookings.
Appointments for all in-person holistic therapies for July, August, and September are now live and can be secured in the usual way via the online booking system. More of a bank transfer kinda person? No problem, just get in touch, and I'll add your appointment to the online system.
Due to the school summer holidays, I have limited availability for July and August, but will be offering additional ad hoc appointments.
I’m currently accepting new 1:1 clients for the 12 week Adore Your Pelvic Floor Programme, which will commence at the beginning of September. You can, of course, choose to start the programme with me at any time, but from experience, clients often unintentionally derail in the lead up to the festivities, and I want you to get the most out of your time and investment in your pelvic health.
If you’re still on the fence about committing to a 12 week course, or not sure if it’s for you, have a read of my Beginner's Guide to Pelvic Health Blog. In this blog, I share information on pelvic health, signs of pelvic floor dysfunction, and tips on correct recruitment of the pelvic floor muscles. It's a great way to get started!
My summer birthday sale is running 10th August – 10th September.
More details to follow soon!
New here? Welcome in! Here's a peek at the holistic therapies I offer.
Looking Ahead.
A quick heads-up to let you know that my in-studio working hours will change temporarily, from October 2024. These changes are to ensure my energy levels can accommodate extra hours in my day job, whilst still providing the nurturing holistic services you love and deserve.
Holistic work is one of those jobs where your mental, physical and emotional health need to be in balance, to the best of your ability, to offer the best experience for clients. There just isn't the same magic without it, you can feel the difference, and so can I.

Pre and post-event sports massages for GNR 2024.
Get run-ready this summer!
GNR aside, running is one of the most accessible ways to stay fit, and it's even more popular during the summer months. Whether you're an experienced runner or completely new to the sport, running injuries are common, with around 80% of runners experiencing an injury in a one-year period.
If this sounds like you, receiving sports massage(s) with me, alongside your sports physio care/rehab, is an excellent way to recover.
Maintenance sessions, as well as pre/post-event treatments are also a great way to reduce the risk of injuries - read on to find out more...
A pre-event sports massage is a targeted treatment which stretches and loosens muscles in preparation for a sporting event and is often given in the days leading up to a sporting event. Book you pre-GNR sports massage with me on Thursday 5th, or Friday 6th September 2024, 10am - 2:30pm. Available to book now as Holistic Massage, links are above.
A post-event massage can assist recovery following a sporting event or intense training session. It can be performed as early as 30 minutes after intense exercise and up to 48 hours afterwards. Book your post-GNR massage with me on Monday 9th September 10am - 5.30pm. This session isn't on the online booking system yet, so please contact me directly (link at the end) to schedule your appointment.
Maintenance sessions, during your training schedule, help to keep everything moving and get on top of any niggles that might lead to an injury. Choose a day or two when your training schedule is light, or you're on a rest day - you can still exercise after a sports massage, but a heavy training session afterwards won't allow you to receive the full benefits of your treatment.

Something new is being birthed...
Remember that clarity and creativity I mentioned earlier? There’s been a lot of it about recently, enough to create something very special…
I'm excited to share with you that I am currently in the early stages of creating my first online course, Seeds of Change! Seeds of Change will be a self-led, online offering, weaving the wisdom gained from my personal healing journey so far, with the education and resources to help you get started on your personal healing journey.
This course is for you if you're feeling stuck in repeating patterns or cycles, and you're looking for guidance on how to move away from this, towards a more fulfilling life.
Since starting to write Seeds of Change, ideas for other courses have also been coming in, so stay tuned for updates!
That’s all, folks. Thank you so much for your continued support, have an amazing summer, and I’ll see you in the next news blog, if not before!
So much love,
Amy
